Goodbye Thoughts of SheryL, Hello The Pinay Ajumma

A heartfelt thank you to those who have journeyed with me from the very start. From the days of “My Korean Lover” to “Thoughts of SheryL”, you’ve been a constant through every transition. While some of you have taken a step back from the blogosphere, I cherish our shared memories from the days when we were just finding our feet as bloggers. I hold onto the hope that someday you’ll return to this space. And to the loyal ones who remain, I hope you continue to stand by me.

You might be wondering about yet another change. Why the new name?

It’s about creating a space that’s inviting, that speaks of me without directly revealing my identity. This has been on my mind for a while, and I’m glad it has finally come to fruition. Perhaps the new name hints at fresh starts—after all, one can never predict where inspiration might lead next.

For those curious about the story behind the new name, dive deeper into my About page. And yes, with this new chapter comes a fresh site logo (see the featured image). It’s a design of my own, echoing my yearning for a simpler life.

I’d love to hear your thoughts. What’s your take on this new beginning?

  1. Hello, I received a notification that you are the first (and only, lol! Early days!) person to read and like my first blog post. Thanks- it may be just a small thing to you, but it made me feel happy to see when I woke up this morning 🙂 Anyway, that lead me to your blog and i’ve really enjoyed reading some of your posts (“5 Things I Love Being a Housewife”- positive and refreshing points. And it’s great to be able to read about your way of life in Japan). I’m in a similar boat: my partner and I are from different countries, and we are living in a third one. Looking forward to following your blog!
