Pet hotels in Japan can be really expensive. The bigger your pet is, the higher you pay for the accommodation. You may find one that’s not that pricey but the downside of it is that your pet dog will be caged for a long period of time. I know it for sure based on experience. Whenever my husband and I go on a trip without our furry buddy, we’re left with no choice but to leave her at a nearby pet hotel. As much as I feel sorry for her for the inconvenience but it’s just how it goes living in a place where you don’t have any relatives or friends live close by.
