Review: Peripera Airy Ink Velvet

I saw this cute little thing at Don Quijote and got one for myself. Sadly I had to give it away after using it for a few times. I’ll reveal the reasons in a jiffy but first, here are the features of this lip tint.

peripera airy ink velvet review
Color: Apricot Coral

Features

  1. An air-like tint true to its name.
  2. Delivers the color you want with a lightweight formula.
  3. Anyone can create perfect gradient lips in a single sweep.
  4. Keeps your lips soft and supple all day.
  5. This lip tint glides on smoothly, offering vivid color and a soft, velvety texture to your lips.
  6. Made in South Korea

The perfect color for spring and summer.

Pros

  1. The color is really pretty.
  2. Easy to apply
  3. Glides on smoothly just as it claims
  4. It’s indeed airy and velvety.
  5. Nice and faint scent
  6. Truly light on my lips
  7. Not sticky at all

Cons

  1. Due to its soft texture or formula, it kind of highlights the dark areas of my lips.
  2. You might want to exfoliate your lips before applying this because it tends to settle on the lines or cracks of your lips.
  3. It can’t really moisturize my lips all day long. A lip balm is a must.

I reckon this tint might work well if your lips aren’t dry and hyperpigmented.

  1. Ha! I’m glad I’m not the only one who had the issue with these of them settling and making certain parts darker – I loved the color I bought but am barely using it. Oddly enough, the tints I’ve had the best luck with are the cheap ones from EverOne, a ¥100 store at Amu Plaza in Oita Station. The search continues!

          1. If you ever do, let me know! I can suggest places, take you around, etc. I especially love Takachiho if you haven’t been yet, and if you like history and shrines and the like ❤️
