Review: Innisfree Green Tea Special Kit EX

What’s not to love about receiving gifts from your favorite store? Innisfree does give thank you gifts to their customers and I’m one lucky gal for getting one. Actually, it was my husband when he was on a business trip to Korea. He was the one who bought something from the store and was given with this kit as a freebie. Whatever, just so you know. If you have an acne prone skin, keep reading.

This kit comes with 4 different products that contain green tea from the famous island, Jeju. You can purchase them individually, by the way. This is going to be brief because there’s nothing much to say. You know that this blog is all about not giving flowery reviews and such. Let’s get started!

Green Tea Balancing Skin EX

1) Enriched with 3.5 times more 16 amino acids, Beauty Green Tea opens the moisture path of dehydrated skin to reveal a dewy and clear complexion.
2) Excellent moisturizer Fresh Green Tea Water replenishes the skin with bursting moisture to help it maintain a healthy condition.
3) Bouncy textured gel textures gently absorbed into the skin leaving it feeling refreshed.

This bouncy textured gel smells refreshing and it’s indeed moisturizing. It also gives that dewy and bright look. However, if too much is applied, skin looks oily and with my skin that has an uneven skin tone, it’s not good to look at. A small amount is needed to achieve that healthy-looking moisture. It’s not quickly absorbed into the skin so it isn’t a good idea to apply foundation right away. Hence, I only use this in the evening.

Green Tea Balancing Lotion EX

1) Lightweight anti-oxidant lotion with Jeju green tea extract absorbs quickly to hydrate skin while helping to balance its moisture.
2) Watery textured lotion makes the skin supple to help it stay relaxed.

Unlike the first one, this watery textured lotion is absorbed quickly into the skin so I use this in the morning. It’s a good base for applying foundation. A small amount is also needed. My skin becomes oily when I splash a lot of this. Also moisturizing.

Green Tea Seed Serum

1) Concentrated serum delivers hydration and anti-oxidants from a balanced blend of Jeju green tea extract and green tea seed oil for sufficiently hydrated skin and a healthy-looking glow.
2) Dual-Moisture-Rising-TechnologyTM firmly protects the moisture path to prevent water loss, and seed oil creates a moisture barrier on the skin.
3) Moist, soft texture enhances the suppleness and health of dry skin with rich moisture.

It rings a bell, doesn’t it? Of course, this is a bestseller! And it’s one of my favorites. As a matter of fact, I already have a review on this. Kindly read it here.

Green Tea Seed Cream

1) Soft cream delivers refreshing hydration and anti-oxidants from a blend of Jeju green tea extract and green tea seed oil to help replenish skin keeping its moisture level and give it a healthy-looking glow.
2) Dual-Moisture-Rising-TechnologyTM firmly protects the moisture path to prevent water loss, and seed oil creates a moisture barrier on the skin.
3) Moist, soft texture enhances the suppleness and health of dry skin with rich moisture.

This cream is super moisturizing! I only use this at night. It also has a refreshing scent. I feel it’s a little thick so I kind of tap it on my skin.

One is actually encouraged to use these 4 at the same time, but I don’t think it’s necessary for me because when I tried it, boy was my face so greasy! Perhaps if my skin were spotless and even, I think it would look better, but unfortunately, my skin is problematic as of now so it doesn’t appear dewy like that you commonly see on Korean skin. Maybe if you have a very dry skin, you can do as advised, but if you have oily skin, try alternating them like what I’ve been doing. They’re almost finished now and if given a chance, would love to use them again. One big reason is they don’t trigger acne. My acne prone skin is happy with these products.

    1. How I wrote them here is supposed to be the order. In my case, I didn’t use all of them at the same time. As you learn more about the Korean skincare routine, you’ll be more confused. LOL
