Wonderful Nature Village

Nestled in the lush green west area of Tokyo, is a vast park or playland perfect for relaxation and recreation for families with pet dogs. The place was introduced to me by a friend who’s a dog owner as well. Without second thoughts, Danny and I dashed straight there with our naive Sushi. It’s favorably about an hour from home (Saitama) by car so that’s a 10 there.

NOTE: For first-time visitors, you’ll be asked to provide a certificate of rabies vaccination.

Our first visit was about 3 weeks ago when the sun was at its peak. Nevertheless, I didn’t mind that scorching hot day all for my sassy Sushi. I thought it would be nice for her to experience nature in a different perspective alongside humans and of course her people.

Right after passing the receiving area, fascination followed. As burning as it was, the place impressed me a lot. To be honest, I didn’t expect much but boy was it pretty cool! Equipped with facilities such as dog run, hiking course, dog pool, dog shower, dog station, canoe, BBQ, and more, it’s absolutely a great site to enjoy the outdoors with your beloved dogs.

Here’s a spacious fenced area where your doggies can enjoy running and be crazy in the sun.

After playing in the sun, time for some socialization under a roof. This area isn’t quite as expansive as the first one but enough for some sprint and catching.

What’s summer without some dipping? You can see 2 different pools there. One is bigger in size which is for larger dogs and the other one is smaller in size intended for the little ones. This is where my Sushi had her first swimming experience. Did she have fun? Can you tell by the look of her face?

If you skip the BBQ area, but still want to have your fill, the village has just the right place. Danny and I conveniently had our good lunch here with Sushi by our side. Dogs here are on a leash and attached to a fastener just under the table. Since Sushi kind of used up all her energy around this time, she just quietly sat there waiting for us to finish while looking around. It definitely was my favorite part of the day.

We’ve been there twice and will surely keep coming back. We might try camping there in the future. If you must know, the place is also convenient for families with family members who are physically handicapped. And on top of it, the entire area appears to be well-kept which is a big thing for me. Wonderful experience, wonderful village indeed!
